Subject:  You Spit on the Genocide Convention to Support Israel

I find it irresponsible and disgusting that you don’t obey the Genocide Convention that the U.S. signed in 1988.  The Convention establishes a duty on State Parties to take measures to prevent and to punish the crime of genocide, including by enacting relevant legislation and punishing perpetrators, “whether they are constitutionally responsible rulers, public officials or private individuals” (Article IV).

ICJ said there is a “plausible risk of genocide”.  Thus, since there is a “plausible risk” you are REQUIRED to prevent it!

What have you done?   You approved billions to continue it.

I suspect you’ve heard about the U.S., again, being the sole vote against the people of Palestine.  The UN Security Council voted 12 to 1 for Palestine to become a full UN member.  No one gets hurt by this positive action.  But the good old “law abiding and peace loving” US voted against it.   Thus the Palestinian people, once again, are punished by the U.S.  Occupation, oppression, destruction, starvation and death are the price Palestinians have paid and are paying for your support of Israel.  Are you proud of that?

Subject:  Why Are You Sending Billions to Israel When We Have Great Needs Here?

Please explain to me why the people of Israel are more important than people in the U.S.  20% of the children in the U.S. go to bed hungry.  The average family has less than $600 in personal saving.  The U.S. is the only developed country that does not provide universal health care (but you have it). The U.S. is the only country where higher education results in graduates becoming slaves to the loan companies.  The U.S. infrastructure is crumbling.

These are some of the needs.  Are you not aware of them?  If you are, why do you keep sending billions to a foreign country which uses our tax dollars to defy you and international law, and oppress, destroys and kills?

You’re an educated person.  You know how important education is to development.  In Israel, fear and hate are taught from childhood on.  They NEVER hear about Palestinians as humans – in the schools, in the media, in the synagogues, and certainly not in the military.  With this type of culture it is no wonder that Israel kills with impunity.  The ugly part for WE THE PEOPLE is that your actions support this fear, hatred, destruction and death.
